The Government of Montserrat has been notified by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), that a grant of fourteen million, four hundred thousand pounds has been approved for the Montserrat Port Development Project.

The grant from the Special Funds Resources of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), was allocated from funds provided by the United Kingdom, through the Department for International Development (DFID) to CDB under the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund. It is expected that the first disbursement of the Grant will be made in June 2018 and the grant is expected to be fully disbursed by May 2021.
The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Communications, Works and Labour (MCWL) through the Public Works Department (PWD).
