The Office of the Premier is informing the public that the first twelve successful applicants of the ‘Business Support Facility’ grant scheme are now receiving their grants. The Office of the Premier, started the process of disbursing the funds to the successful applicants on Friday, June 28, 2019.
The ‘Business Support Facility’ is a grant scheme which was launched in December 2018, through the Office of the Premier and is being administered through the Ministry of Finance. The scheme is aimed at assisting local businesses which are experiencing financial challenges.
The businesses are receiving grants ranging from four thousand ($4,000.00) to ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) and will utilise the grant funds for the acquisition of raw materials and to replace or acquire new equipment, aimed at making their businesses more efficient. The Office of the Premier, also anticipates that these grants will trigger increased economic activity, over the course of the year.
The next phase is expected to be processed from August 1, 2019.
