VISION


The vision of the Department of Administration is to be a well-resourced, responsive team which competently acts as the driver, catalyst and facilitator for the efficient and effective management and development of human resources in the Montserrat Public Service, and which provides excellent consular and support services.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Our mission is to provide and implement corporate human resource strategies, administrative reforms, policy frameworks and support services that enable Government Ministries and Departments to fulfill their business plans and work programmes, and advance the achievement of Government's strategic objectives.

 

Our mission also extends to providing consular and other support services to the general public under the provisions of the British Nationality Act 1981, and the Immigration and Passport regulations, and in keeping with relevant policy in respect of permanent residence and nationality.

 

Corporate Goals

 

The work of the Department of Administration directly contributes to the achievement of all of the strategic objectives outlined in the Sustainable Development Plan. Our corporate goals are:

  1. To facilitate and promote the modernisation of the Public Service;

  2. To develop and implement programmes and opportunities for capacity-building at all levels of the public sector;

  3. To ensure the optimum allocation and management of human resources within the Public Service;

  4. To promote ethics and core values in the Public Service;

  5. To ensure the efficient management of Government facilities and assets; and
