VISION
To help the nation make
good use of its resources.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to promote
accountability, transparency, and improved stewardship in
managing public resources by conducting independent and
objective reviews of the accounts and operations of central
government and statutory agencies; providing advice; and
submitting timely Reports to Accounting Officers and the
Legislative Council.
Corporate Goals
The following corporate goals of
the Audit Department provide the framework within which the
Auditor General can meet the independent auditing needs of
government resources:

To deliver high quality
independent audit services.

To satisfy the needs of the
Legislature and other audit clients.

To ensure that the Audit
Department has the necessary organisational strength,
capability, technical skills and resources to carry out its
functions in an efficient, and effective manner.

the role, function, and output of the Department.

relations and linkages with regional and international
auditing bodies.
