Department of Legislature
The Department of Legislature seeks to equip all stakeholders
with the necessary information, learning experiences and
research opportunities that would enhance, facilitate and
perpetuate good governance.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Department of Legislature is dedicated to providing
efficient clerical, administrative and advisory services to both
the Executive and Legislative Councils and facilitate sound
parliamentary and electoral practice.
The following corporate goals of the Department of Legislature
provide the framework within which it can provide the level of
expected service from the Legislature.

To enhance the policy advice, facilities and
services to support the operation of the Legislature.

To enhance the existing laws passed by the
Legislature.

To enhance the public awareness of the
Legislature.

To increase the public and government agency
participation and access to the legislative process.

that the Department of Legislature has the necessary
technical skills and resources to carry out its functions in
an efficient, and effective manner.
