Office of
the Chief Minister
We aim to provide the highest quality policy advice,
administrative support, and information services to elected
governments to assist them to govern Montserrat effectively.
MISSION
To add strategic and operational value to the decision making of
the Executive by providing high quality policy advice,
information, and management and support services, which
contributes to the effective administration of the executive arm
of the Government.
The corporate goals of the Office of the Chief Minister reflect
the breadth of services that the Office provides and provides
the general framework in which it operates. The following are
the corporate goals of the Office of the Chief Minister:

To provide a professional radio service to
the public of Montserrat by increasing the quantity and
quality of the information and delivering the information in
a more interactive way to improve the public’s knowledge of
government’s policies and programmes.

To establish and maintain mutual
understanding between the Government and the public through
the management of open two-way communication links that
promotes the effective dissemination of information that
also includes an appropriate level of public consultation.

To create an environment where as many people
as possible, especially young people, take up sport, stay
actively involved in sport, and reach their optimum level of
achievement.

To ensure that cultural diversity is
recognised and that the Montserrat community has ready
access to cultural facilities which leads to an increase in
participation in cultural activities.

To ensure that all regional and international
input is in harmony with the national objectives of the
Government of Montserrat.

To provide the administrative support to the
Minister and all other units to ensure Government overall
capacity to serve the public is strengthened.
The Office of the Chief Minister is responsible for providing a
wide range of policy and management support services to the
Executive. The Office of the Chief Minister has specifically
responsibility for the following:

Broadcasting Services;

Information Services and Public Relations;

Sports Activities;
-
Cultural and Recreation Activities;

Regional Affairs.
