Press Statement Re Minister David Osborne

The Hon Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Lands, Housing and the Environment, Mr. David Osborne, wishes to express sincere gratitude to all for their prayers, words of encouragement and well wishes. Minister Osborne is recovering well and he is truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support.
Honourable Osborne has had to travel to the United States for medical attention and he assures everyone that he is receiving the best care possible.
The Minister also expresses his gratitude to all MATLHE staff for holding the fort in his absence. He appreciates the support that he is receiving from his colleagues and continues to provide policy steer, as he recovers in the United States.
He further notes that there are a number of major activities which will take place over the coming weeks, such as the opening up of more lands in Davy Hill and Lookout, and commencement of the construction of at least three affordable houses under the H.O.M.E program.
As Minister Osborne pointed out in his budget support presentation, we will see the launch of the 2019/20 Local Onion Production Project, and in a few weeks, the Demo Aquaponics Project will be commissioned.
Prior to falling ill Minister Osborne began exploring alternative sites for sand mining since the current sites are being depleted. He also wishes to remind primary producers and other small businesses/entrepreneurs of the upcoming package of incentives that his Ministry is developing to support the start of new initiatives.
Minister Osborne commends his team for laying the building blocks for MATLHE to move forward from strength to strength. Hon. Osborne has all confidence that by the grace of God, he will return to share in the celebration of these achievements.
On behalf of Minister Osborne and his family, we say thanks to you his people, for your continued prayers, support and outpouring of love.
May God continue to bless us all!
