Overview of Department
The Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service, a Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management came into being by an Executive Council Decision dated 14th July 2011 and formulized by way of the Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service (Enabling) Act No. 6 of 2017. The MCRS is mandated by Law and otherwise to collect assigned revenues by way of the Taxes and Fees and to provide such other assigned service for the Government of Montserrat. The Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service is responsible for collecting over 80% of locally generated revenue.

To be a Customs and Revenue agency that carries out our responsibilities fairly, impartially, with due regard to the law and regional and international obligations for the benefit of Montserrat.
