Overview of Department
The Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service, a Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management came into being by an Executive Council Decision dated 14th July 2011 and formulized by way of the Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service (Enabling) Act No. 6 of 2017. The MCRS is mandated by Law and otherwise to collect assigned revenues by way of the Taxes and Fees and to provide such other assigned service for the Government of Montserrat. The Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service is responsible for collecting over 80% of locally generated revenue.

PROPERTY OWNERS ENCOURAGED TO PAY PROPERTY TAX BILLS
Property owners or their representatives on island are urged to pay their property taxes in a timely manner to avoid attracting penalty and interest charges.
