Environmental health consists of preventing or controlling disease, injury, and disability related to the interactions between people and their environment.

The Environmental Health Department delivers a host of environmental health services:
  • Training and Issue of Food Handlers Certificates
  • Food Safety and other Environmental Health related inspections routinely and by request
  • Issue of Wholesomeness of Meat Certificate for Export
  • Advise on Environmental Health matters
  • Vector Control
  • Water Quality, Air Quality and Institutional Hygiene
  • Wastewater and General Environmental Sanitation
  • Solid Waste Management and Landfill
  • Port public health surveillance
