The Acts listed below are primary pieces of legislation passed by the Legislative Assembly. Periodically, the Acts in force in Montserrat are subjected to a law revision. Law revision is a process by which the entire Statute Book of Montserrat is revised and consolidated up to a particular date, known as the cut-off date. No changes are made to the substance of the laws; the laws are merely reproduced to enable convenient access to all the laws as at the cut-off date.
The last cut-off date was 1st January 2019. Therefore the authoritative version of the laws of Montserrat passed up to 1st January 2019 is the ‘Revised Edition of the Laws, showing the laws as at 1st January 2019’. Any law passed after 1st January 2019 is not incorporated in the ‘Revised Edition of the Laws showing the laws as at 1st January 2019’.

Montserrat Tourism Division Partners with Statistics Department to Launch Exit Surveys

FERRY SERVICE CANCELLATIONS DUE TO UNFAVOURABLE SEAS
The Access Division, Office of the Premier would like to inform the public that due to unfavorable sea conditions the ferry service will not be operating to Nevis tomorrow, Friday February 9, 2024 and also Sunday February 11, 2024. The service will run as scheduled to Antigua on Friday February 9th and Saturday February 10th.
MONTSERRAT TOURISM DIVISION RESCHEDULES DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT
After careful consideration a decision has been taken to reschedule the Montserrat Diaspora and Investment Engagement, originally planned for March 4-8, 2024. The event will now merge with the annual Calabash Festival, held during the vibrant summer season, with the aim of attracting increased participation from the Montserrat diaspora, friends of Montserrat, investors, and visitors.
UK-FUNDED ‘OCEAN’ PROGRAMME AWARDS GRANTS FOR MARINE PROTECTION UP TO £3 MILLION
The UK-funded Ocean Community Empowerment and Nature (OCEAN) Grants Programme is launching its first call for proposals. This competitive grant scheme supports projects that aim to deliver lasting change to the marine environment and coastal communities. Annual Review conducted of UKCIF Project (Montserrat Port Development Project)
The Annual Review of the Montserrat Port Development Project under the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF) took place from the January 31 to February 1, 2024. This review is in keeping with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).
